This is an exciting day! My first tool is now available for download! It’s a tool that helps you create physically accurate volumetric lighting effects quickly and easily. Give it a shot, and let me know what you think. I expect a few bugs that I wasn’t able to find, so let me know if you find and!
Video demonstration of the tool.

How do the physics of light scattering work, and how do I use it in Maya? Follow this link to learn more. In this blog post, I explain why the parti volume node in maya has the weird values that it does (it’s based on the physics of light). More importantly, I show how to actually use them so that you can skip learning about that pesky physics and instead focus on creating good looking volumetric lighting.
Where can I get it?
